MUSIC MAKING, PRACTICE, and MOZART
Thank you so much for signing up and devoting your time to this endeavor. We are excited to have you join us!
Today's class will be all about practicing, and incorporating the style of one of opera's most important composers, MOZART. I will go into some of the biggest factors that will help you prepare and interpret this music, including recitative, articulation, phrasing, variation, and most of all, MUSIC MAKING.
Upon entry into the class, you will be asked to change your name to your full name, as a participant, and include a couple of letters to tell us a bit about yourself. Choose whichever category best describes you, doesn’t have to be exact! You can also put more than one.
YA: Young Artist
EDU: Educator
ST: Student
PS: Professional singer
SNP: Singer, non professional
NSM: Non-singer musician
MT: Musical theatre
OB: Observer
So our examples would be
Lisette Oropesa PS, EDU
Steven Harris OB
If you have made a donation, please put an asterisk (*) next to your name as well so I can acknowledge and thank you.

CLASS STRUCTURE
Today's class will run 60 minutes. It will consist of a lecture portion and a Q&A on the topics outlined in the agenda.
TOP DONOR PRIVILEGE:
In order to honor the people who have donated the most to this effort, we have created a Top Donor Privilege. After the 60 minute class, all those who have donated $50 or more will be invited to a private Zoom class where we will have one on one question time. Using the "raise hand" feature, Top Donors will be unmuted and allowed to ask any questions they like, for a 1 hour follow up session. **Zoom codes are sent automatically for these classes as soon as you reach TOP DONOR status!**
In the meantime, as always, ALL are welcome to attend as many of the free lectures as possible. I will try to answer as many questions from the chat as I can!
Below is a Google Doc with the topics for Saturday's class.
